Unless an individual is driven by that sense of higher purpose, one can go around in circles, without reaching even the desired location, let alone a worthwhile one.

Steve Jobs, the man who scaled technological innovation through Apple, and attained all standards of success only to further give it a new meaning, sure had some words of wisdom to share with those who listening to him. Here’s a few of those :

•           Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity, not a threat

Most of us fear change in life because we are way too adamant to live and survive in the place that becomes our comfort zone. Each time we neglect and reject something due to the fear of change, we lose a priceless opportunity to grow. It is rightly said, change is the only constant in this world, one’s ability to brace and thrive within the changing scenario is innovation, the key to the best of opportunities one can find!

•           Don’t lose faith

Life can’t possibly be simple, predictive or agreeable all the time. It will play with you, take unforeseen changes or seem to take you for a rise. In the process, your faith will be put to test every single time, forcing you to lose it at the smallest of anomalies. But the fact is, one can’t afford to lose faith, an invaluable asset in the path of success! So, the next time you face an overwhelming challenge or situation in life, don’t abandon your faith at the point; stuck with it to see the places it takes you.

•           Don’t value money

Material owning is trivial in life. It usually drives one through the wrong path. Instead, value the pursuit of excellence and brilliance in life and let that be the ultimate fuel to drive you! Money might be fickle, in terms of its ownership, knowledge shall do no such injustice.

•           Fail forward

Failure is an inevitable part of life. But, it is how one responds in the face of that failure that defines one. Every fiasco hides within itself a new opportunity to learn and grow. And identifying this can take you places you never realized the existence of, otherwise.

Post his firing from Apple in 1984, Steve Jobs described it as the best thing that happened to him, as it gave him the liberty to innovate and grow again, in contrast to the weight of success he had been bearing for a while then.

•           Work hard to make it Simple

Simple is quite underrated and overlooked. Simple can be harder than complex. A great amount of work is required to attain the clarity of mind needed to grasp and produce simplicity.

Simple is often what we most want and yet, quite frequently stray from. If we can work hard enough to bring something to its simplest form, that will make all that difference.

Put a dent in the Universe

Most people spend a lifetime trying to figure out their very purpose of being. Steve jobs made it much easier for us by saying that each one of us are here to make their own kind of difference in this Universe.

In case one is unwilling to do so, one’s existence itself is rendered questionable. Unless an individual is driven by that sense of higher purpose, one can go around in circles, without reaching even the desired location, let alone a worthwhile one.
